A Sewing Weekend will be held at the Atlanta Soto Zen Center. All members of ASZC as well as members of the STO Affiliate Network who are sewing on their Rakusu or O'kesa, as well as members who would like to learn more about the Zen sewing tradition and help out, are invited to attend the retreat. Instruction will be given by Eijun Carola Butler. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing supplies.

Supplies:
You are REQUIRED to contact Carola Ei Jun (whom will be providing sewing assistance during the retreat) at [email protected] about sewing supplies you will need to bring to the retreat. By contacting Carola, you will also help her determine what supplies (i.e. enough fabric for a Rakusu) she will need to bring.

Food:
Coffee, Tea, Water, Fruit, and Light Snacks to be provided aamd set up in the kitchen diringnthe retreat. Please be mindful tonclean your dishes and utensils during the retreat.
Lunch will be ON YOUR OWN.
You can bring your lunch(we have a stove, microwave, sink, etc, and tenzo refrigerator to accommodate your needs), you can also order out, and/or pick up your or have it delivered.
The teacher and assistant will be eating on the lawn in front of the zendo (if weather permits) or in the zendo, ALL are welcome to join.

Fees:
$50 (Or what you can afford)+ Teacher Dana(Please bring cash or check for teacher offering) This is only the cost for this retreat not the actual ceremony. Please connecwith Elliston Roshi for details on ceremonial fees.
Dana (Supporting the Dharma Teachers):
Please note that Dana is not included in the registration fee. Dana donation is an opportunity to express gratitude for the teachings which have been received and allows the Teacher to pay his/her living expenses.
